Kathak Foods exists to bring India's own superfoods back to the everyday plate — and to fix a protein gap most of us never knew we had.

Why we started

India snacks a lot. Most of it is empty.

We're Shrey Khandelwal and Aayush Jha — friends who kept noticing the same thing. The Indian snacking shelf is packed with fried, salted, maida-heavy packets that give you crunch and nothing else. Meanwhile, the foods our grandparents swore by — makhana, sattu — were quietly disappearing from daily life.

So we started Kathak Foods, under SABSwastik Naturals LLP, with a simple idea: take our local superfoods, keep them honest and clean, and make them the easy choice for a generation that actually reads the label.

Complete protein, the desi way

Most Indian diets fall short on complete protein nutrition — and it shows in how we feel, recover and age. Makhana and sattu are two of the most accessible, affordable, plant-based answers to that, grown right here at home.

Every pack is air-roasted or stone-processed, free of preservatives and added flavours, directly sourced and fairly paid for. Pure crunch, pure goodness — zero adulteration.

And this is not where we stop. Makhana and sattu are just the beginning of a bigger range of honest Indian nutrition.
